BIOGRAPHY

A born artist, Jack planned to study painting in college when his life took a major detour. Instead of pursuing art, he enlisted in the army and spent three years in Vietnam flying Huey helicopters. Shot down over the jungle three times, he was lucky to return home after his tours of duty ended.

Jack took a job as a paint salesman, selling interior and exterior paint for Fuller O'Brien. His love of color and art shifted to more practical applications, so that he could support his family and six children.

In retirement Jack reunited with his creativity. It has been a healing journey, the artworks unleashing the years of trauma and creative blockage.

Jack's art is vivid and layered - a dreamscape of memories of war, joy, love and fear.
